About Lisa Blatcher

Lisa Blatcher was born in Baltimore, Maryland in the late 1960’s and spent most of her life there. In that environment of ‘tacky “Hun” couture’, Lisa developed an appreciation for art and a love for art from outside the mainstream.  She spent alot of time embracing the stories told by other artists in the plethora of major art museums in the Baltimore metropolitan region, but it was the quirky street art (painted screen windows, painted tire planters and street murals), the outsider art and the visionary art that truly spoke her language and engaged her.

In 2001, Lisa moved to Savannah, Georgia where she’s learned to enjoy the parks, sunshine and pecans as she develops her artistic talents, but her artwork continues to reflect that original devotion to Baltimore art culture.
